To encourage tourism businesses, local producers, Këlcyrë Municipality, young people, and the wider community to adopt sustainable practices aimed at reducing waste, avoiding single-use plastics, and protecting the environment. The campaign seeks to promote waste separation and recycling, reduce food waste, and encourage the use of reusable and environmentally friendly alternatives in everyday activities and tourism-related operations. Particular attention will be given to keeping the territory of Këlcyrë, the Vjosa River Valley, and the Deshnica Valley clean, while protecting their natural landscapes, river ecosystems, and areas of tourism value. Through cooperation between the Municipality, businesses, schools, local organizations, youth groups, and residents, the campaign will promote environmental awareness activities, voluntary clean-up initiatives, and community-based actions to protect the environment. Young people will be encouraged to take an active role as environmental ambassadors, spreading positive messages and promoting responsible behaviour among both local communities and visitors.
In this way, the campaign aims to make waste reduction and nature conservation a shared responsibility, contributing to the development of Këlcyrë as a clean, sustainable, and environmentally friendly tourism destination.
