Perched on a hillside overlooking the Vjosa Valley, the ruins of Kelcyra Castle have stood guard over the gorge since ancient times — a strategic fortification that witnessed clashes between Roman legions and Macedonian forces as far back as 198 BC.

Your guide will lead you through the impressive Sarajes of Ali Bey Kelcyra, a sprawling 19th-century complex with eight four-story towers that ranks among the largest historic building compounds in Albania. From there, explore the Old Village with its narrow stone alleys, traditional architecture, and quiet charm that feels untouched by time.

The tour also visits the Military Cemetery, a solemn monument honoring the region’s layered past, and stops at centuries-old Orthodox churches tucked into the hillsides.
