KELCYRE FOOD & TRADITION

Këlcyrë Food & Tradition is a one-day experience inviting visitors to discover Këlcyrë through its local flavors, traditions, and craftsmanship. Throughout the day, visitors explore traditional cheese and wine production, discover the craft of making wooden wine barrels, learn to prepare traditional local recipes, and enjoy a meal featuring local products, ending the experience with the characteristic landscape of the Këlcyrë Gorge.

09:30 – Arrival in Këlcyrë
Welcome and introduction to the local traditions and culture.

10:00 – Visit to the Cheese Workshop
Discover the traditional process of milk processing and cheese production, with the opportunity to observe the production process up close.

10:30 – Visit to the Winery
Introduction to the local winemaking process, followed by a tasting of local wines.

11:00 – Visit to the Woodworking Workshop
A hands-on cultural experience where visitors discover the traditional craft of woodworking and the production of wooden barrels used for the storage and ageing of wine. The process is explained step by step, from preparing the wood to assembling the barrel.

11:30 – Traditional Cooking Workshop
Participants learn how to prepare traditional local recipes under the guidance of a local cook or community member.

13:30 – Traditional Lunch and Tasting
Enjoy the dishes prepared during the workshop, accompanied by local cheeses, traditional products and local wine.

15:00 – Walk through the Këlcyrë Gorge
A short walk to conclude the experience while enjoying the natural landscape and spectacular scenery of the Këlcyrë Gorge.
