KËLCYRË GORGE

Këlcyrë Gorge. This magnificent gorge stretches between Këlcyrë and Dragot for approximately 13 km, forming a canyon with depths reaching up to 1,000 meters. On the right slope of the gorge are the caves of Mezhgoran and Dragot, while along the Vjosa River visitors can admire numerous underground springs, including the famous Black Water of Këlcyrë, which emerges from the Vjosa and creates a remarkable variety of colors. Another unique attraction is the karst springs known as the “Plane Trees of Këlcyrë” (Rrepet e Këlcyrës). Fed by underground rivers, these springs emerge on the surface at an elevation of about 80 meters above the Vjosa River, forming spectacular waterfalls and a breathtaking natural landscape.
